I live in beautiful northwest California where I work as a Director of Psychiatric Nursing. My career and passion are in helping individuals in crisis and providing support and hope to these people that are too often stigmatized and frowned upon.
I have been a psychiatric nurse for 12 years and the work I do is emotionally hard and sometimes physically dangerous. I’m able to sustain this work by taking time for myself and my family.
We Are on a Mission to Find the Best Destinations in Thailand!
Our mission is to see as much as Thailand has to offer and to make friends along the way. Retiring in Thailand is an enticing thought which drives us to explore all regions of the Land of Smiles.
We had a lot of loss in our lives prior to Covid-19. In 2018 we lost my 16-year-old son to violence. In 2019 my stepdad passed away and my mother followed him six months later. Then in 2020 we lost my father-in-law to Covid. As it was for many people throughout the world, there was more loss, and so much stagnation.
Toward the end of 2020 when the world started to open its doors again, my oldest daughter and I flew to Thailand. There were Covid precautions and hoops to jump through, but nothing was going to stop us from getting out of the country. We needed to feel life again and what better way than to travel to the Land of Smiles.
We had the most amazing time island hopping, kayaking through the mangroves, watching the elephants in their natural habitat, and making forever memories. This trip was so magical we did it again with my youngest daughter within that same year, and now we’re planning the next trip!
Ever since I was a little girl I’ve had a deep passion for travel, but it wasn’t until a couple years ago that I finally found a way that I could travel abroad AND bring my family. Best Destinations: Thailand is about getting to know Thailand and sharing experiences, knowledge, and resources to help others fulfill their dreams of vacationing in a tropical paradise.

Ultimately, our goal is to fulfill our mission and to offer a space filled with adventurous stories and resources to help you plan your next adventure. From finding the cheapest airline tickets to reserving your favorite activities without paying travel agents or falling for scams.
I mentioned above that I found a way to afford traveling overseas with my family. For years, we were limited to travelling within our means and our home state of California.
